Easy Air Fryer French Fries
These homemade french fries are to die for! Once you make these, you'll never buy store bought, frozen french fries again!
Equipment
- 1 Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 2-3 Russet Potatoes You can use any potatoes you wish, doesn't have to be russet. I keep the skins on for the extra nutrients!
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/8 tsp black pepper You can add less or more of this, all depends on personal preference.
- 1/4 tsp chili powder You can do less or more, depends on your taste preference.
- 3 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Slice potatoes into the desired size for fries. I use a French fry cutter to get the sizes just right, but a knife can do that, too!
- Fill a large bowl with cold water let the potatoes soak for 15-30 minutes
- Drain and dry the potatoes (paper towels work great for this). Then place the potatoes in a dry, large bowl.
- Combine all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Then sprinkle them over the potatoes and toss gently to incorporate the seasonings evenly.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes and gently toss again.
- Place potatoes in the air fryer and set the temperature to 400 degrees for roughly 20 minutes. If you have a french fry setting, you can use that. Check on the french fries periodically and gently toss. Cook to your preferred level of crunchy!
